A beautiful 'Mardorf' type stater

CELTIC, Central Europe. Uncertain tribe. Early 1st century BC. Stater (Gold, 19 mm, 7.22 g, 10 h), 'Mardorf' type. Triskeles within a wreath formed of two branches with seven leaves going in opposite directions and with a disc at each end. Rev. Six annulets within a wavy torque with annulet at each end; all within cup-shaped incuse. Flesche 402. Kellner, Manching, type IX B. LT 9441. SLM 1097-1099. A lovely example with a bold and clear triskeles. Minor edge splits as usual, otherwise, extremely fine.
